Hard work and persistence have a way of paying off and it was quite evident this weekend. The Atoms Development Silvertips played their two toughest rivals this weekend, the first against Kamloops on Saturday where they came away with a 5-5 tie in a well-fought battle. Sponsored by Laverne Turner Contracting, the Silvertips showed up with a vengeance on Sunday in Salmon Arm and played a highly ranked Kelowna team and managed to hold on to a 4-4 tie. The Silvertips are now sitting in third spot overall and are stepping it up for the back half of the season.
