Another fine day of golf greets the March Meadows Senior Men

March Meadows Senior Men

Another fine day greeted the March Meadows Senior Men Tuesday.  This, apparently, inspired the golfers to some equally fine play.

The closest to the pin this week went to William Dunstow on hole one and Jamie on hole seven.

I have no last name for Jamie.  He was a guest of a regular player and left with out giving it.

Chip in pars went to John White and Bruce Macdonald.  While Rick Nott, Jerry Janzen  and Ray Bourassa made par recoveries from the bunkers.

Birdies were abundant and were carded by Jug Kalar, Don Cochrane, Bruce Macdonald Earl Laforge and Murray Nelson.

John Leach and Rick Nott both chipped in for birds.  Low gross this week went to Earl Laforge and low net to Dave Melnick.

The match play tournament is down to the last four.  Only two more rounds to go.

The barrel prize went unclaimed again.

“Play it as it lies” is one of the fundamental dictates of golf.  The other is “Wear it if it clashes.”
