Johnny Pearson must love playing on Sundays.
One week after scoring six goals and setting up another in an 11-4 victory, Pearson was at it again on Sunday night, this time playing set-up man.
Pearson scored once and assisted on seven goals for the eight-point night as the Langley Junior Thunder defeated the Burnaby Junior Lakers 13-9 at the Bill Copeland Arena.
The Thunder scored six times in both the first and second periods to build the comfortable lead as they improved to 8-5 in the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League.
Langley led 6-1 after one period and 12-5 after 40 minutes.
Reegan Comeault scored three times and set up another pair, while Adam Will had three goals and one assist. Brandon Bull also notched a hat trick and Brett Dobray had two goals and two assists. Dylan Quinn had the other Langley goal and Brendan Mykle-Winkler set up four goals.
Newly-acquired goaltender Tyler Glebe stopped 28 shots in his Langley debut.
The Thunder have a busy week ahead as they face four games in five days.
On June 19 they travel to Coquitlam to face the Junior Adanacs and then on June 20 they host the Port Coquitlam Saints at the Langley Events Centre.
Langley is also in Nanaimo on June 22 and back at the LEC the next afternoon to face Victoria.
