Three members of the Apex Freestyle Club found themselves on the podium during the second Timber Tour event hosted by Whistler Blackcomb last weekend.
Alec Henderson won the Super Youth Mogus in the eight and nine-year-old male group, while Chad Collyer earned a bronze medal. In the Super Youth Halfpipe for eight- and nine-year-old females, Teigan Holinaty earned a silver medal and a bronze in the Super Youth Moguls.
The remaining results are as follows:
Super Youth Moguls: 10- to 11-year-old male Liam Collyer was fourth, Freddy Albrechtson seventh and Liam Holinaty 14th. For eight- and nine-year-old male, Alex Collyer was eighth and Simon Albrechtson was 19th.
Super Youth Slopestyle: 10- to 11-year-old year male, L. Collyer was ninth, Liam Holinaty 16th and Freddy Albrechtson 17th. For eight- and nine-year-old female, Teigan Holinaty was fifth and in the same age group for boys, Henderson was sixth, Collyer was seventh, Alex Collyer 17th and Simon Albrechtson 19th.
F4 Slopestyle: Shaina Finlayson was sixth, Kassidy Todd eighth, Chloe Kober ninth, Anna Spence 11th, Madison Parker 12th and Mackenzie Swinghammer was 14th.
M2 Slopestyle: Dane Franks was 19th.
M3 Slopestyle: Joshua Visser was fifth, Matt Finlayson ninth, Cam Kapusty 14th, Rhys Swenson 21st, Joe Durham 22nd, Koleton Phipps 23rd and Kyle Parker 24th.
M4 Slopestyle: Brayden Kuroda was 17th, Max Todd 21st, Sam Holinaty 25th, Mark Anthony 26th, Owen Langford 27 and James Naude 29th.
F4 Halfpipe: Todd was 8th, Kober ninth, Finlayson 10th, Swinghammer 12th, Parker 13th and Anna Spence 14th.
M2 Halfpipe: Dane Franks – Did not start
M3 Halfpipe: Visser eighth, Swenson 15th and Kapusty 17th
M4 Halfpipe: Holinaty 14th, Kuroda 17th, Langford 18th, Naude 24th, Todd 25th, Anthony 26th
Due to fog, the F4’s and M4’s were unable to run moguls. The 2’s and 3’s were able to run, however, because the entire field was unable to complete the competition, the entire event had to be cancelled.
Telluride update from B.C. Mogul Team and Alumni from coach Jeff Fairbairn.
An easy course meant tough competition. Fairbairn said the team did great with all the skiers staying on their feet and put down top to bottom runs. The score to crack finals was 23.6. To put things into perspective, there were 36 positions with scores ranging from 20 to 23.6.Very tight. With a total of 64 skiers, it became that much more competitive.

This weekend Apex Mountain is hosting the NorAm, an event which AFC coach Kenni Kurodo said earlier in the season is a step down from the World Cup stage. Apex will also host the junior nationals March 14 to 18.
Qualification runs for ladies and men on Saturday begin at 8:45 a.m. and 10 :30 a.m. respectively, with finals at starting at 1:45 p.m. On Sunday, qualifications begin at 8:45 a.m. with finals starting at 1 p.m. The public is welcomed to attend.
