Dan Mobbs outshot fellow Cariboo Archers Fred Streleoff and Ernie Schmid during the weekend at the Vanderhoof 3D Shoot.
The battle, however, was a close one and all three shooters — all past Canadian champions — handily outscored all other recurve shooters at the competition.
Mobbs was recently added to the Canadian 3D team alongside Streleoff and Williams Lake’s Al Campsall to shoot in this September’s 2017 World Archery Championships in France.
Campsall, meanwhile, placed first in the compound division in Vanderhoof.
It will be Mobbs’ second trip, Streleoff’s third and Campsall’s fourth time representing Canada.
Campsall noted no other club in Canada can boast three Team Canada members.
Results are as follows:
Dan Mobbs: First, recurve
Fred Streleoff: Second, recurve
Ernie Schmid: Third, recurve
Al Campsall: First, compound
Several Cariboo Archers will now have their sights set on this coming weekend for the Quesnel River Archers Goldpan Classic indoor target shoot.
