Less than 30 points separate first place from fifth after day one of the female archery competition at the B.C. Winter Games.Karleigh Meier (zone 2) finished with 532 points in the compound competition.The event is being held at Abbotsford’s Ag-Rec Arena.Trailing by just five points is zone 1’s Katrina Romanowicz, who finished with 527.Rounding out the top five are Denise Galloway (519), Shadae Pollock (517) and Kendra Scheck (501). The trio are all from zone 8.In the barebow competition, Mya Schouwenburg (zone 8) is running away with the title, shooting an aggregate score of 475. Gabrielle Courturielle (zone 6) is in second at 325.Emma Hughes (zone 5) leads the recurve event with a score of 487.Zone 3’s Elizabeth Wall is second with 466 and zone 5’s Shaelin Bishop is third at 449.
