Kali Loewen, Grade 12, says she plans to focus on communication and working with her team in the upcoming Volleyball Girls AAAA Championship tournament that will be hosted at Penticton Secondary School on Nov. 29. to Dec. 1.
“We’ve been doing really well and working really good as part of a team,” said Loewen. “I’ve been playing volleyball all four years of my high school career. I love it, it’s been part of my household since birth.”
“She’s been playing very well and has had a pretty good year. Her setting is getting a lot better, she’s locking well, so she’s been a big part of our success,” said Rob Gunning, the girls’ volleyball coach at Penticton Secondary School.
Loewen said she’s a little nervous but mostly excited to play in the upcoming tournament. She noted there’s a lot of good teams in their zone that will be competing.
“I think we’re all pretty equal, so if we play well and show up, we should do alright,” said Loewen.
Congrats Kali and good luck in all your future games!
