The Okanagan Athletics stayed in the playoff chase in the B.C. Premier Baseball League taking three of four games from the hometown Nanaimo Pirates.
The defending champion A’s, now 14-22, are 10th in the PBL, three games out of a playoff spot with 12 games left in the schedule.
On Saturday, the Athletics scratched out a pair of one-run victories.
In the opener, Okanagan scored three runs in the second inning, then hung on for a 3-2 win. Will Russell picked up the win and Josh Croft earned the save.
In Game 2, the A’s scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to earn a 2-1 win. Jordan Young threw for scoreless innings, while Davis Todosichuk picked up the win with three innings of relief.
On Sunday, another one-run decision as the A’s scored one in the top of seventh for a 3-2 win. Josh Croft earned the victory with a hitless inning of relief, while adding three hits and an RBI.
In the series finale, Aidan Goodall tossed a four-hitter as the Pirates averted a sweep with a 2-0 win.
This weekend, the A’s are back home when they host the Vancouver Cannons for a pair of doubleheaders at Elks Stadium.

The Okanagan A’s came up empty in a four-game series against the North Shore Twins in BCPBL action.
On Saturday, the Twins beat the A’s 3-0 and 8-5 at Edith Gay Park.
In the second game, Clay Stephens had a double and three RBIs.
On Sunday, the A’s committed seven errors en route to a 27-9 loss. Kyle Weninger had four hits in the loss.
North Shore completed the sweep with an 8-5 win in the series finale.
This coming weekend, the Athletics (15-17) will host the Nanaimo junior Pirates for four games at Lombardy.
