The Atom House division had command of the South Cariboo Rec. Centre last weekend, as it host an eight-team tournament.
The 100 Mile Primal Electric Shockers made its way to the final after notching a perfect 3-0-0 record in round-robin play.
However, the winning streak ended in Sunday’s championship game with the decidedly stronger Lillooet Pistons that claimed a 7-3 victory.
Lillooet’s strong defence proved impermeable in the first period, helping it to establish an early 3-0 lead.
Shockers Brodi Lundquist opened second-period scoring with a quick goal, but the Pistons answered with three more unanswered markers to make it 6-1 at the end of the second frame.
Cameron Ardiel rallied for the Shockers with an early third-period goal and came back for another marker in the final minutes of the game, but it was too little, too late.
Cloverdale Predators took third place overall with a 4-2 win over the Logan Lake Leafs in the bronze-medal final.
Fifth place went to Williams Lake Dominators as it downed the 100 Mile Free Press Sharp Shooters 5-2, despite being outplayed and out-shot. Free Press goals that managed to beat strong goal tending by the Dominators came from William Harrod and Ethan Sanders.
Placing seventh was the Quesnel Atomic Panthers and eighth spot went the Williams Lake Orange Dominators.
The Surrey Female Hockey Association Super-Heart Tournament, Feb. 3-5 at the Surrey Sports & Leisure Complex, saw the 100 Mile House Bantam Rep Female Donex Thrashers finish fourth in its division and Atom/Peewee Female Ainsworth Timber Chix finished as silver medallists.
