Badminton awards netted out in Alberni

The Alberni Athletics Badminton club handed out several awards as the club held their season windup and awards ceremony on April 16.

The Alberni Athletics Badminton have put the rackets and birds away for another season.

The club held their season windup and awards ceremony on April 16. The evening was full of food, company, badminton, prizes and awards.

There were several athletes who garnered awards:

Ten and under most skilled boys : Cooper, Alex, Daniel, Sam

Several awards were handed out to age 10 and under boys and girls.

The age 12 and under most improved girl: Amy Barker.

The most skilled boy for age 12 and under: Carson Rhodes.

Kim Norn was named the age 12 and under most skilled girl.

Rylee Mitchell was named the age 14 and under most improved boy.

In the age 14 and under group, Spencer Rhodes was named the most skilled boy.

Jesse Law was named the most improved age 17 and under boy, while Jamie Berry was named the age 17 and under most improved girl.

Eric Wu was named the age 17 and under most skilled boy.

And Jessie Slassor was named the age 17 and under most skilled girl. Slassor also won the  Bill Khoo Memorial Trophy.
