California Crown took home gold and $5,000, while BC brought home a silver during the 2017 International Vancouver Goalball Grand Slam held over two days in the Timms Community Centre gymnasium this past weekend.
This is a paralympic sport for people with visual impairment, or even complete blindness, that uses a ball with a bell inside so players can here it.
To ensure the level playing field, everyone must wear an eye mask. This is the second year in a row that Langley City hosted the grand slam event put on by the Vancouver Goalball Club.
