BCHL: Alberni Valley Bulldogs finally solve Clippers in 5-2 win

After back-to-back losses to Nanaimo last week, Bulldogs come up with 5-2 home victory vs. Shipmen.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs cracked a four-game losing streak—which included back-to-back losses to the Nanaimo Clippers—with a 5-2 victory over the Clippers, Friday night at Weyerhaeuser Arena in Port Alberni.

Scott Clark scored a hat trick, including the winner on the power play in the second period, enroute to the Bulldogs’ win. Josh Adkins and Mitch Makin notched the other two. Makin also had three assists, as did Tyler Povelofskie.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Sunday (Feb. 8/15) with a matinee home tilt against Penticton Vees, who lead the Interior Division with 81 points. The Bulldogs are sitting in fourth in the Island Division with 51 points.

Game time on Sunday is 2 p.m.
