The BC Rodeo Association (BCRA) wrapped up its 2011 rodeo season ending with its Annual General Meeting and Awards Banquet in October at the Quesnel Seniors Center in Quesnel.
The banquet and silent auction was a tremendous success, organizers said, thanks to all the volunteers and silent auction contributors.
The Harry Setah Mountain Race Series Awards were also presented at the BCRA awards banquet once again for the 2011 season.
These prestigious awards were given out to the top racers from a series of mountain races that were held at the Williams Lake Stampede, the Nemiah Valley Rodeo and the Redstone Rodeo.
The top overall racer was Darren Setah, who was awarded a trophy saddle for his hard work.
The 2011 season leaders were awarded trophy saddles, also, for their hard work and miles that they put on to support all the BCRA rodeos.
Finals champions were awarded gold and silver trophy buckles made by Troy Fischer Silverworks, who also makes the buckles for the Canadian Finals Rodeo.
Horse of the Year winners received embroidered horse blankets for their trusty steeds.
The Chilcotin Tour Series Winners were awarded several awards with each one being different in each category.
The BCRA added congratulations are in order to all the 2011 champions.
