Beach volleyball takes over parking lot

MR. MIKE'S Beach Blast Volleyball saw teams play the sport on sand brought in to form two courts in the restaurant's parking lot for two days during Riverboat Days.

MR. MIKE’S Beach Blast Volleyball saw teams play the sport on sand brought in to form two courts in the restaurant’s parking lot for two days during Riverboat Days.

Fans sat around the edge of the courts to watch and cheer on their favourites and other teams waited off court for their turn. Teams were playing for cash prizes.

On the court July 31, Oranje Connection took on Trigger Happy Bush Babies to a close match, ending 21-18.

Final results from the two days of volleyball action weren’t readily available.
