Third, Lynette Harper calls on Glen and Patty Rugg to hurry-hard on skip John Harper’s rock as the Harper rink came back from a 7-5 deficit in the semifinal to beat the Derek Bouma rink in eight ends. Harper went on to take the A final against the Bedard rink in the always fun Beaver Valley Curling Club’s annual mixed bonspiel on the weekend. The Randy Huston rink, consisting of Randy, Starla, Roger and Scott Huston took home top honours in the B event with a win over the Ron Wilcox rink, while Chris Walker shocked brother Mike Walker’s rink taking two in the final end of the C’s to seize the win, and the Marnie Devlin rink won the D’s in a nail biter against the Stuparyk foursome.
