Terpsma opened the second period with a short-handed goal to give the Nitehawks a 6-0 lead. Miller put the Leafs on the board with two goals bookending another Beaver Valley goal by Ghirardosi.

With the two victories the 27-8-2-2 Nitehawks remain in top spot in the Neil Murdoch division, eight points up on the Castlegar Rebels, who lost 8-2 to the Creston Valley Wildcats Friday, before bouncing back with wins over Spokane, 6-3, and Grand Forks, 5-2, on Saturday and Sunday.
The Nitehawks next face the Rebels at the Hawks Nest on Friday with the puck drop at 7:30 p.m.
