A five-run sixth inning helped the Abbotsford Junior Cardinals hand the Langley Junior Blaze their first loss of the season.
The Cardinals erased a 5-2 deficit with their big inning and then hung on to win 7-6 in B.C. Junior Premier Baseball League action at McLeod Park on Wednesday night.
Langley did not help their own cause as they allowed 10 walks and committed three errors. The Cardinals managed just a pair of hits over the seven innings.
The loss dropped the Blaze to 4-1 on the season.
Brendan Winning had an RBI double while Mack Berry and Trevor Alcos also had RBIs.
Langley stranded 11 base runners.
The Blaze are back in action when they host Okanagan in a doubleheader on Saturday (April 23) at McLeod Park.
