Billet families wanted for Cowichan Valley Capitals players

Billet families play a pivotal role in the success of the players on and off the ice

With the 2018-19 B.C. Hockey League season just around the corner, the Cowichan Valley Capitals are still looking for a few more billet families.

Billet families play a pivotal role in the success of the players on and off the ice, the Caps say.

Families are asked to provide a private bedroom and closet; nutritious meals; a patient, caring, positive and friendly home atmosphere; and the same guidance and attention they would want for their own children.

In return, the family receives season tickets to Caps games for everyone in the immediate family living in the household, a monthly stipend for each player housed, 15 per cent off all team merchandise, an invitation to the year-end banquet, and first-hand knowledge of events and happenings with the Caps.

Housing will begin immediately and last through to the end of the season. The regular season lasts until the end of February, and playoffs could extend as far as May.

Anyone interested in billeting should contact Marie Ruzesky at the Caps office at 250-748-9930 (ext. 224) or email marie.ruzesky@cowichancapitals.com
