The Langley LIttle League Major A Black Sox swept a doubleheader against Victoria on the weekend at City Park.
The team of 11 and 12-year-olds rallied from two runs down in the final inning of the first game, a 7-6 victory, and then completed the sweep by winning game two 9-2.
Tyler Wright delivered a clutch two-run double in the opener.
And Langley built on that success in the next game, scoring four runs in the first inning.
Carson Grimm came up with a spectacular diving catch in the third inning to thwart Victoria and keep the game from turning on Langley.
Trent Davies, Carson Foster, Andrew Fassbender, Grimm, Zac Laird, Kevin Hollowink and Dane Gisbrecht had key hits in game one.
The second game saw Conner Shirley, Davies, Ben Natingor, Wright, Fassbender, Nathaniel Northup, Hollowink and Laird deliver timely hits.
Davies, Northup and Wright pitched well in game one while Shirley, Laird and Hollowink combined to keep Victoria to two runs in game two.
