Three hits from Daniel Berg and and a pair of RBIs from Quintin Nakamura helped the Langley Blaze Premier team to a fourth straight win to open the season.
The U18 baseball team scored five runs in the second inning on their way to an 8-2 win over the White Rock Tritons on Tuesday at McLeod Athletic Park.
On the mound, Corey Jackson struck out nine and allowed just two hits over five innings. Aiden Mordecai pitched the final two innings, striking out five of the six batters he faced.
Cole Cantelon had an RBI and three runs scored as well as a stolen base. And as a team, Langley swiped nine bases with Berg, Travis Horanski, Rhys Cratty and Yi-Fan Pan each stealing a pair.
Jaron Jeske, Horanski and Cratty drove in one run apiece.
Up next for the Blaze is a four-game set this weekend in Kelowna against the Okanagan A’s.
