After spotting the opposition a 2-0 lead, the Langley Blaze scored the game’s final seven runs to beat the Whalley Chiefs 7-2.
The win was the fourth straight for the U18 baseball team and they lead the B.C. Premier Baseball League with a 28-7 record heading into the stretch drive of the regular season. Langley leads the North Shore Twins (22-6) by 2.5 games.
The game was played on Thursday (June 26) at Whalley Athletic Park.
Liam Wyatt and Andre Pelletier drove in a pair of runs apiece, while Connor Chorpita and Kristjan Storrie had one RBI each.
Jonathan Keltie pitched a complete game, striking out seven.
The Blaze are at Vancouver’s Queens Park for a doubleheader on July 5 against the Cannons (19-19).
