Blue Fins get creative training for provincials

Williams Lake Blue Fins swimmers Andrew Haseldine and Cristelle Panida have been finding creative ways to train.

Williams Lake Blue Fins swimmers Andrew Haseldine and Cristelle Panida have been finding creative ways to train for the upcoming ‘AAA’ provincials this weekend in Victoria.

The two have been joined by some of their teammates as they have travelled to Quesnel every couple of days and, now, have finished their training in a spa at New Waves Pool and Spa due to the shutdown of the Sam Ketcham Memorial Pool.

“[They] have been gracious enough to allow the kids to do a couple of training sessions in their spa,” Blue Fins coach Chad Webb said.

“The spa pushes air and water at their front while they swim against the current.

“The kids were all smiles as they commented that a few things I made them do were hard, but they both want the bigger version of the tub for some faster training.”
