Bluebacks finish first

The Terrace Bluebacks swam their way to a first place finish at the Spring Wavemaker swim meet held March 12 and 13 in Smithers.

The Terrace Bluebacks swam their way to a first place finish at the Spring Wavemaker swim meet held March 12 and 13 in Smithers.

It was a total of 464 points, which put the Bluebacks in the top spot.

They were followed by the Bulkley Valley Otters with 455 points, the Prince Rupert Aquatics with 415 points, the Kitimat Marlins with 183 points and the Houston Aquatics with 57 points.

Seven of the Terrace swimmers also set personal best times in every event they entered.

Each day the tournament finished off with a team-building activity. This was to mix coaches and athletes together in preparation for future provincial level competitions where all of the swimmers will join together as the Points North swim team.

The Bluebacks will next travel as Points North to make their mark at the meet in Prince George.
