Bonspiel celebrates 60 years

Curling has certainly evolved over the past 60 years, but one thing that remains the same here in the Comox Valley is the enthusiasm of players, as evidenced in the "Diamonds are Forever" Women's Bonspiel Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 at the Comox Valley Curling Club.

Congratulations to the Bonspiel Committee for an entertaining 24-team event that saw players from up and down the Island and beyond to join local teams in celebrating the club’s 60th anniversary.

In 1958, Connie Francis was crooning the question, Who’s Sorry Now? Sixty years later, Valley curlers of all ages answer with a resounding chorus of, Not us, as members continue to share camaraderie on and off the ice at the Comox Valley Curling Club.
