It was a hat trick night for Aldergrove Kodiak Kyle Bosko, who had an assist before scoring three of his own in a 7-4 win against the Port Moody Panthers Wednesday at Aldergrove Arena.
It was a very slow start for the league-leading Kodiaks, as they were down 2-0 at the start of the second period.
They quickly made up for it, however, as scored six unanswered goals within 10 minutes in the second period, before the Panthers scored two more.
The Kodiaks scored another in the third to end the game 7-4.
Scoring for the Kodiaks were Bosko (3), Clayton Schroeder, Quinncy Leroux, Cameron Davitt (on a power play), and Ty Pickering (in the third period). Assists came from Bosko, Eric Callegari (2), Kurt Klimek (2), Schroeder, Matt Oliver (2), Arjan Cheema, and Leroux.
The Kodiaks outshot the Panthers 26-19 and scored on one of six power plays while the Panthers scored on one of two.
First game star went to Bosko, second to Schroeder and third to Panther Logan Hunter.
The win improves the Kodiaks record to 32 points after 21 games (16 wins, five losses).
Next up for the Kodiaks is an away game Saturday at the Mission Outlaws. The Kodiaks host the Abbotsford Pilots next week, Wednesday, Nov. 23, 7:15 p.m., followed by a pair of games versus the Ridge Meadows Flames, away Nov. 25 and at home Nov. 30.
