Brookswood loses to McMath in championship final at Langley Events Centre

In a battle of the ’Cats, it was Richmond’s McMath Wildcats bettering Langley’s Brookswood Bobcats.

The two senior girls basketball teams were competing in the championship finals of the Tsumura Basketball Invitational at the Langley Events Centre on Saturday night.

And McMath emerged victorious thanks to a 76-61 victory.

The ’Cats lost star point guard Aislinn Konig to a sprained ankle in the contest.

Brookswood defeated the Southridge Storm 89-32 in the opener before winning 76-56 against the Charles Best Blue Devils in the semifinals.
