Bulls take revenge at South Okanagan rodeo

Keremeos Elks Rodeo packs 'em in for some high flying fun

Where’s the beef?

For three days last weekend it was all over the grounds at the 81st annual Keremeos Elks Rodeo.

On Saturday, the first day of the sanctioned bull riding event, it was the bulls coming out on top by a score of 4-0 as each of the mammoth creatures made short work of those on their backs.

Groot, Western Express Blue Magic and Vincent Vega took care of riders Logan Parent, Cordell Pinchbeck, Trent Tupper and Darryl Brown in that order.

Earlier in the day in the junior steer riding competition the steers also dispatched their riders one, two, three which included a pair of local competitors including Sage Terbasket and Charlie Michelouie who managed to hang on the longest of the three.

Bronc bareback riders fared a little better with more participants managing to hang on for required eight seconds.

Competitors in all events, which included roping competitions, barrel riding and steer wrestling head the finals on Monday to determine the overall placings.
