Volleyball may not be the sport that many people associate with our area, but Bulkley Valley Christian School (BVCS) is doing its best to change that.
Recently the BVCS concluded the short volleyball season with some excellent results that show you don’t have to be from a major centre to be good at a sport.
The Grade 7-8 boys were the Northwest ‘A’ Zone champions in Terrace recently,
The junior boys and the junior girls had notable second-place finishes in the zones championships.
Most impressively, the senior girls had a second-place finish in zones in Smithers and will be going to provincials in Nanaimo while the senior boys also had a second-place finish at zones and will be going to provincials in Prince George.
BVCS development director Tom Grasmeyer was excited about the results and was looking for good results at the provincial competitions as well as future improvement for the teams.
