The Campbell River Hurricanes doubled their goal total in each period against the visiting Triport Wild on Saturday during a home game.

The team got on the board in the first when Aubrey Brown scored with 5:44 left on the clock. The Hurricanes added two more in the second with markers from Elizabeth Bettenson and Kai Hyatt.

In the final period, the locals gave up one but put four on the scoreboard, with goals from Bettenson, a pair from Ashley Lontayao and a final goal by Brown in the last couple of minutes. McKenna Harris backstopped the team to the 7-1 win, turning aside all but the one shot.

Showing they were good sports all around, the two teams lined up for a team photograph together at the conclusion of the game.
