After a year of hard work the Campbell River Special Olympics athletes of Team Dog reached new personal best records at the recent BC Powerlifting Association Fall Classic held at Abbotsford on Nov. 8.

Tye Cranton and Callum Maclagan worked hard this year at West Coast Muscle and Fitness and their commitment to their training paid off with Gold Medals and new records for each of them.

Cranton bench-pressed 70 kgs and Maclagan deadlifted 205 kgs, both of which were personal best efforts.

“At this event they both lifted more weight than ever, including in the gym,” said coach George Maclagan.
