Carihi, Timberline ice their opponents at Isfeld Ice tournament

Courtenay's Isfeld Ice won their annual Invitational Senior Boys Basketball Tournament on the weekend with Carihi and Timberline both competing.

Courtenay’s Isfeld Ice won their annual Invitational Senior Boys Basketball Tournament on the weekend with Carihi and Timberline both competing.

Mark Isfeld Secondary beat Brookswood of Langley 71-49 in Saturday’s championship final of the 10-team tourney.

After losing their tournament opener 78-66 to Brentwood College, Carihi notched two straight wins – 45-39 over Westview Secondary and 76-57 over John Barsby.

Timberline opened the tournament with a 79-76 comeback win over Ballenas. They lost their second game 92-58 to Shawnigan Lake School. No result is available for their third game over St. John Brebeuf.
