Last-second scoring secured the win for the Peninsula Panthers last Friday, but lost them points later in the weekend.
The VIJHL club defeated Kerry Park 3-2 at Panorama Recreation Centre Nov. 4.
“We scored at the buzzer Friday night, which was great and won it in front of our hometown fans,” said assistant coach Rob Armstrong.
Saturday night in Parksville they blew a 4-3 lead late in the game to lose 5-4.
“They scored two quick ones and took two points,” Armstrong said.
The team was to face Campbell River at Panorama Tuesday night after News Review deadline. Friday they play the Saanich Braves at 6:30 p.m. in George Pearkes arena.
