DCS will also host provincials in early November

DCS prevailed 5-3 last week, and Chemainus turned the tide with a 3-2 victory at the Cowichan Sportsplex on Wednesday.

Both teams will be among five taking part in the Island championships at the Sportsplex next Wednesday. Chemainus will face Brookes Westshore at 9 a.m., DCS will take on Glenlyon Norfolk at 10:45 a.m., and the winner of the first match will face St. Andrew’s at 12:30 p.m.

The losers of the second and third games will play for third place at 2 p.m, and the winners of the second and third games will play for first and second at 3:45 p.m.

The top two teams will advance to the provincial championships, which DCS is hosting at the Sportsplex on Nov. 1-3. If DCS finishes in the top two, the third-place team will also qualify for provincials.
