The Spokane Chiefs scored the game’s last four goals en route to a 6-2 victory over the Kelowna Rockets Wednesday night in WHL action at the Spokane Arena.
Lambert spent eight seasons with the Rockets, the last as head coach in 2014-15 when Kelowna won the WHL championship and fell just one goal short of the Memorial Cup title. He was hired this summer by the Chiefs after two seasons coaching at the professional level.

Connor Bruggen-Cate and Carsen Twarynski scored for the Rockets (12-8-2-1) who lost their second straight after four-game home ice winning streak.
Kelowna Minor Hockey product Eli Zummack scored his fifth goal of the season for the Chiefs and was named the game’s second star.
James Porter stopped 40 shots in the Kelowna net as the Chiefs outshot the Rockets 46-20.
The Rockets will be in Vancouver Friday to take on the Giants, then will host the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday.
