There has been a tremendous response to the call out for the first annual Chieftains Alumni Tournament, says AESS basketball coach Kyle Dickey.
There are already 68 players signed up for the two-day lineup, spanning several generations of Chieftains. There is room for more players, Dickey says, for both men’s and women’s games.
The cost to participate is $20, with all proceeds going to help support the basketball program at AESS.
Dickey is hoping to see the stands filled with spectators, too. The games start at 5 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 12 and run every hour until 8 p.m. at the AESS gymnasium.
On Saturday, games starts at 12 p.m. and run every hour with the final game starting at 7 p.m.
A wide range of current and former players are stepping up to take part in the tournament. Also, the Eagles Alumni have arranged for a game to be played 11 a.m. on Apr. 13. If you would like to sign-up for either the men’s or
