Chilliwack Chief Connor Milburn has found his future NCAA home, committing to the Lake Superior State Lakers.
The six-foot-three centre is heading into his second BCHL season and has made significant improvements in his 200-foot game and skating explosiveness. The Kamloops kid has one goal and one assist in seven extended training camp games so far.
Last season, the 19 year old collected six goals and eight points in 29 regular season and playoff games, 28 of them with Chilliwack and one with Salmon Arm.

“Connor has worked himself into being a very important part of our lineup,” said Chiefs hockey boss Brian Maloney. “He does a lot of the little things that allow your team to succeed in all three zones. Connor is a quiet leader that has a great attitude towards the game and his teammates. We couldn’t be more proud.”
Maloney said Milburn is counted on to kill penalties, take important face-offs and match up against opponents’ top lines.
Traits that will serve him well at the next level.
The Lakers are a Div 1 team competing in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), a 10 team conference that includes the Alabama Huntsville Chargers, Alaska Nanooks, Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves, Bemidji State Beavers, Bowling Green Falcons, Ferris State Bulldogs, Michigan Tech Huskies, Minnesota State Mavericks and Northern Michigan Wildcats.
