Chilliwack Chief Ray Fust leads Swiss into match with Team Canada at world juniors

The Swiss will be massive underdogs in Tuesday's group-A round-robin showdown in Edmonton

Ray Fust and Team Switzerland are off to a rough start at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships.

The Swiss are winless through two games, with a 1-0 loss to Slovakia on Christmas Day followed by a 4-1 loss to Finland on Dec. 27.

Fust, the 18-year-old Chilliwack Chiefs forward, did get on the scoresheet. The teenager drew an assist on the lone Swiss goal against the Finns, scored by Attilio Biasca.

Tuesday brings the toughest foe yet for the Swiss, who must contend with an undefeated Team Canada squad that blasted Germany 16-2 and beat Slovakia 3-1.

Puck drop is at 3 p.m. PST at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

Fust and company wrap up the round-robin Wednesday with a game against Germany (3 p.m. PST, Rogers Place).
