Cooper Moore is the latest Chilliwack Chiefs alum to win an NCAA award this season.
The first-year defenceman has just been named the Defenceman of the Week in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
Moore is a teammate of Jordan Kawaguchi’s on the University of North Dakota (UND) Fighting Hawks. He collected two points last weekend as UND split a pair of road games with the Omaha Mavericks. Both points came in a 6-2 win Friday. Moore scored his second goal of the season just 85 seconds in to open the scoring, adding the primary assist on the fourth Fighting Hawks goal.
