Chilliwack Chiefs chosen to play in CJHL Prospects Game

Harrison Blaisdell and Kevin Wall are among 11 BCHL stars selected to play in the showcase game.

Two Chilliwack Chiefs will be on the ice for the CJHL Prospects Game, which takes place Jan. 22 at the Pason Centennial Arena in Okotoks, Alberta.

Harrison Blaisdell and Kevin Wall are on the Team West roster, a 20 man group which includes 11 BCHLers.

Joining the Chilliwack forwards up front are Alexander Campbell and Alex Newhook of the Victoria Grizzlies, Ethan Leyh of the Langley Rivermen, Massimo Rizzo of the Penticton Vees and Alex Swetlikoff of the Vernon Vipers.

The defensive corps includes Victoria’s Jeremie Bucheler, Penticton’s Mason Snell, Vernon’s Jack Judson and Prince George’s Layton Ahac.

Of the remaining nine spots, five are taken up by Alberta Junior Hockey League talent with two apiece from the Manitoba and Saskatchewan leagues.

Each of the players chosen were selected through the efforts of NHL Central Scouting and are currently among the top 40 CJHL prospects heading into the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver.

“We at the CJHL extend our congratulations to each of the players on their selection to compete in the 2019 CJHL Prospects Game in Okotoks,” said CJHL President Brent Ladds.
