The Chilliwack Chiefs are just over one month away from opening their preseason schedule.
The BCHL announced the exhibition slate for its 18 teams Monday (Aug. 16).
The Chiefs play five preseason games, only one of them on the road. Chilliwack’s first game is against the Surrey Eagles, Sept. 22 at the South Surrey Arena.
Powell River makes for an unusual exhibition foe, dropping into Chilliwack for a pair of games Sept. 24 and 25. The first one is at the Chilliwack Coliseum while the rematch takes place across town at the Sardis Sports Complex.
The Eagles are the opponent for a Sept. 29 game at the Coliseum and the Chiefs wrap up the five-game schedule with a game against the Coquitlam Express at the Coliseum Oct. 1.
If all goes as planned, Chilliwack would open the 2021-22 BCHL season one week later with a road game at Langley.
All of the Chiefs’ home preseason games start at 6 p.m. and the schedule can be found online at bchl.ca/stats/schedule/13/47/all-months/homeaway
