Chilliwack FC will start getting players back on the pitch July 4, with COVID-19 safety in mind.
Phase one of the CFC plan is a ‘Return to Train’ camp, a four-week offering for players in the U5 to U18 age groups. Players will practice in designated physically-distanced spaces marked out by pylons, supervised by Chilliwack FC staff and age-group coaches.
The focus will be on staying active while working on skills like ball mastery, passing and receiving.

“We are thrilled to be able to get our young players back out on the field,” said Chilliwack FC technical director Glenn Wilson. “Things might look a bit different for awhile but we will aim to reignite their passion for the game in a fun and positive environment.”
New guidelines in CFC’s return-to-play policy will be strictly enforced, including rules about player hygiene and equipment sanitization.
Return-to-play activities will follow provincial health as well as provincial and national soccer association guidelines. The next step after phase one will be dictated by those authorities.
Camp information is available at chilliwackfc.com and registration will be available shortly in the same place.
