Chilliwack’S U-11 United girls soccer team remained unbeaten with a 2-1 win over the Langley Thunder on Saturday.
The locals started slow in this one and trailed 1-0 early.
Strong play by keeper Katrina Brown and defenders Paige Owens, Miranda Coombes and Kalista Kirkness kept Langley from adding to their lead before halftime.
Chilliwack woke up in the second half, with forwards Deanna Tuchscherer, Danielle Klassen and Madison Steele pressuring the Langley D.
Grace Bisson tied the game at 1-1, popping in a rebound on a goal-mouth scramble.
Carmen Bonnar and Katie Lampen teamed up on the game-winning goal.
