Three golfers with Chilliwack ties challenged a field of 83 at the 2018 B.C. Golf Mid-Amateur and Mid-Master Championships.
The three round tournament was held June 25-28 at the Hyde Mountain on Mara Lake Golf Course in Sicamous, B.C.
Connor O’Dell tied for 18th overall with a nine over par 225.
A recent member of the University of the Fraser Valley men’s golf team whose home course is the Chilliwack Golf Club, the Maple Ridge native fired rounds of 77, 72 and 76.
O’Dell finished 12 shots off the pace set by tourney winner Jay Snyder (Vancouver, Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club).
Next on the local list, was another Chilliwack Golf Clubber, Mike McGimpsey, who shot rounds of 80, 78 and 79 for a combined 21 over par 237, tying for 44th overall.
Kristopher Kowalski tied for 64th overall with a 32 over par 248 that included a solid opening-round 77 follwed by scores of 86 and 85.
