British Columbia Golf officially announced its 2014 provincial championship schedule Thursday, with 13 tournaments heading to various courses across the province.
Two Chilliwack courses are in the mix.
The Meadowlands Golf and Country Club will host the bantam boys and girls championship Aug. 21-22, 2014.
The Royalwood Golf Course will host the juvenile boys and girls championship Aug. 26-28, 2014.
Highlighting the 2014 season is the 112th BC Amateur, which will be hosted by the Seymour Golf and Country Club in North Vancouver. The BC women’s amateur and mid-amateur tournaments will be hosted by the Kamloops Golf and Country Club in Kamloops and the men’s mid-amateur will be played at the Big Sky Golf Club in Pemberton.
A format change will impact the women’s amateur and mid-Amateur championships. Starting next year, the women’s master-40 division (ages 40 and older) will no longer be a competition within the women’s amateur championship. Instead, it will be contested at the newly named master-40/senior women’s championship.
