Chilliwack photographer tries for CJFL Photo of the Year award

Kim Douglas is in the running with a game-day picture of Valley Huskers head coach Bob Reist.

The Canadian Junior Football Conference is holding online voting to determine who took the best football photo last summer.

Valley Huskers team photographer Kim Douglas is in the running with the photo above. Taken at a B.C. Football Conference home game at Exhibition Stadium, Douglas captured a great visual as Huskers head coach Bob Reist walks onto the field moments before kickoff.

“This photo showed the possibilities of a new season, “coming out of the fog,” and the strength of new beginnings each game, each season,” Douglas said. Douglas is up against nine other photographers, including picture takers from Chilliwack’s BCFC rivals, the Okanagan Sun and Langley Rams.

An online poll will be open until noon on Jan. 24 and voting can be done at surveymonkey.com/r/YXD856L
