Chilliwack Spartans coach Justin Daly was recognized by his peers last month, winning the BC Swim Coaches Association Rubber Boot Award.
Since 1994, the honour has been given annually to a coach who is viewed as an unsung hero within the BC coaching fraternity, and the winner is selected in a vote by other coaches.
“I am very honoured to be the recipient of the Rubber Boot Award,” Daly said. “I feel it is a reflection of the work our entire staff has done over the years and I am humbled that my peers have recognized me.”
Daly navigated his Spartans through a challenging year for youth sports in 2020, managing to send six graduating Spartans on to university programs in Canada and the United States.
