A former standout with the Valley Huskers is heading to Texas to play professional football.
Chad Moore has signed a contract with the West Texas Warbirds, based in Odessa, TX. The team is part of the Champions Indoor Football League, an eight-team circuit that also includes the Sioux City Bandits, Omaha Beef, Salina Liberty, Wichita Force, Amarillo Venom, Oklahoma Flying Aces and Wyoming Mustangs.
The league is scheduled to kick off its seventh season in March, COVID permitting, and Moore will report to Texas in February for the start of training camp.

“Growing up in a small town in Alberta (Bonnyville), I always dreamed of playing in the United States, especially in Texas,” Moore said. “I am looking forward to meeting my new brothers and everyone in the Warbird family. I’m so blessed and honored to have this opportunity and have such a strong support system behind me.”
Moore was an offensive lineman (guard/center) for the B.C. Football Conference Huskers for four seasons. In his last season he helped protect quarterback Julian Wytinck as the Huskers surged to a 6-4 record and a playoff berth.
