Treyvon Walsh and his Alberta Golden Bears gave the heavily favoured Calgary Dinos all they could handle in a Canada West football semi-final Saturday, but the Dinos pulled away late for a 39-22 win at McMahon Stadium.
Making their first playoff appearance since 2010, Alberta was within one score (26-19) heading to the fourth quarter, but the Dinos outscored the underdogs 13-3 in the final 15 minutes.
Walsh, a GW Graham grad and defensive back for the Bears, recovered a fumble and posted three and a half tackles.
