Chilliwack’s Treyvon Walsh ends university football season with playoff loss

Walsh's underdog Alberta Golden Bears fell to the favoured Calgary Dinos in Canada West action.

Treyvon Walsh and his Alberta Golden Bears gave the heavily favoured Calgary Dinos all they could handle in a Canada West football semi-final Saturday, but the Dinos pulled away late for a 39-22 win at McMahon Stadium.

Making their first playoff appearance since 2010, Alberta was within one score (26-19) heading to the fourth quarter, but the Dinos outscored the underdogs 13-3 in the final 15 minutes.

Walsh, a GW Graham grad and defensive back for the Bears, recovered a fumble and posted three and a half tackles.
