The 31st annual Garden City Meet in Saanich brought athletes together from all over the Island and from as far away as Langley and Washington State. Chimo gymnasts brought home several top-10 finishes from the garden-and-flower-themed event.

All of the athletes have been training very hard, most for 16 hours every week. It is a long and arduous road to gain the new skills, add them to their routines and compete them for the first time at meets such as these.
Chimo coaches have guided these young athletes to achieve personal goals this year. The hard work on the part of the athletes and their coaches can be seen in the team’s results this season.
The last meet of the year will be Island Championships, which will take place June 8-9 in Port Alberni.
