The Nanaimo Curling Centre season has just about drawn to a close.
The men’s and women’s club championships were held earlier this month, with Bob Chlan and Kesa Van Osch coming out on top.
Chlan faced Kevin Weinreich in the final, winning 5-3. Weinreich was lying two in the eighth end, but Chlan, with the hammer, took care of business. Chlan teamed with Keith Clarke, Harold Levesque and Bob Franklin.
In the women’s final, Van Osch defeated Rhonda Stoner 8-5. Van Osch scored three in the seventh end to snap a 5-5 tie, then ran Stoner out of rocks to secure victory. Teaming with Kesa were her sisters Kalia and Marika and mother Cindy.
